The Tomato Hornworm
The Tomato Hornworm is native to the United States and is commonly found throughout the northern states. The worm is normally found eating nonstop until they weave a cocoon and hatch, turning into the Hawk Moth(a.k.a Sphinx Moth or Hummingbird Moth). Birds and wasps eat the Hornworm as prey. Though Tomato Hornworms, as the name suggest, is usually found eating tomato plants, they are also known to eat eggplant, pepper, and potato.
